Multiple layers of glass are handcut and assembled on a glass base and then fired to 1525 degrees in a kiln. Each piece of glass is selected by Candace for its color and reactive properties, which can be really quite magical.
In the confines of a hot kiln, certain glasses can react with other glasses to create special effects. These effects will be produced at the interface of where the reactive glasses meet. The key when working with reactive glasses is to have an idea of what to expect: to know that sulfur/selenium-bearing glasses will react with lead or copper-bearing glasses,
The metal table is a matte black and has a lower shelf. The fused glass table top sits on clear rubber bumpers.
