“Cool Lava” is a small fused glass drop out vessel made by glass artist Candace L Kahn.
“Cool Lava” is a one of a kind fused glass vessel created by first selecting a color palette and fusing those selected glasses in a glass kiln at ~1500 degrees. This glass blank is then placed on an elevated mold featuring a hole through which the glass can slump or drop when fired in the kiln. This process take several days and 15-20 hours in the kiln.
