“Enid” – Art Glass Fish Sculpture

“Enid” the fish comprises various kiln formed glass techniques.

Basically explained, a flat piece of clear glass is cut to create the profile of the fish. Then using a marking pencil a basic design for the other various glass pieces is drawn upon the clear glass.  Various pieces of colored glass are then cut and placed on top of the clear glass base.  Additional elements are made using a Vitrograph kiln and a torch.  After all the components are arranged the piece is then placed in a kiln for firing. Often the work is fired multiple times to achieve the aesthetic.

The glass may be cleaned with a non abrasive glass cleaner and a soft cloth. There is an attached aluminum backing material with a hanging mechanism and standoff pieces that give a drop shadow effect when hung. It is ready and easy to install. The hanger is also included. This piece will add a wonderful area of delight in any setting.
